COVERGIRL Super Sizer Fibers Mascara Review

I really love mascara.  Like so much that I might have about 5 different mascaras I'm trying out right now.  Of course I have my favorites, but I also love trying new ones.

So when Influenster sent me the new Covergirl The Super Sizer Fibers mascara and their Perfect Point Plus eyeliner, I was so excited.  I've always wanted to test out a fiber product and see if it really did add that much length and volume.  This product claims to make it look like you are wearing false eye lashes, I'm totally up for that!

Their Lash Styler brush is super unique and thin, it will add so much length definition and if you keep on applying coats-volume too.

COVERGIRL The Super Sizer Fibers in Very Black
Claims to:
-Add 400% volume and length
-Easy one step application
-Lash Styler wand
-tens of thousands of lash-extending fibers

Application Tips
-Slightly twirl the Lash Styler as you apply. Apply as many coats as needed.
-Use tip of Lash Styler to separate and add length to lashes.

False lash effect-gives full, fanned out lashes plus length.

Verdict
I love it!  I love the look I get when I use this mascara it makes my lashes so long!

You can find The Super Sizer Fibers mascara HERE!

COVERGIRL Perfect Point Plus in Espresso
--7 shades available

Claims to:
-Self sharpening
-helps achieve a perfect line everytime
-sumdger tip blends color easily
-water resistant

Application Tips
-With a steady hand apply a thin line to top of lash line.  Build line for more of a bold look.  For a smoky look blend with smudged tip.
-Fill in water line to help add precision and drama to your eyes.

Verdict
This was the first eyeliner I ever owned.  I have made sure I've kept one in my stash ever since.  Applies so smooth and blends so easily.

You can find the Perfect Point Plus HERE!

So lets see these products in action.  We are going to get up close and personal and see a before and after of me without eye makeup.... I love my eye makeup, and look kinda cray when I don't have it on so beware!

The before and after is a pretty major change.  You can seriously see my lashes pop with this mascara and the eyeliner adds great definition!  I've been a fan of Covergirl mascara forever and this new mascara is another favorite in my book!

I got these products for free from Influenster, all opinions are my own.  It is such a fun, useful site.  I will hopefully have a post on it soon, but until then you can go HERE to learn more about them.

Our Version of Veagas: Clean and on a budget!

Vegas!  If you're like me this destination might not be on the very top of your Places to Go list.  BUT we had a blast the last time we went and we saved quite a bit of money too!

We started our trip with dinner and a show thanks to my work.  We saw Mystere and it was so cool, definitely would see it again!  Even if you don't have a sweet hook up like we did, Treasure Island was selling 2 for 1 tickets to their guests that stayed there.

We've mastered the art of sharing!  We would always share a meal, treat, or really whatever!  It made it so we could try more things, wouldn't waste and it helped the wallet too.

One of our favorite things we shared was at Carlo's Bake Shop at the Venetian.

We got a cannoli and dark chocolate mouse, both of them were incredible!

Vegas has SO many things to see!  We walked around a ton while we were there, make sure to pack water and good shoes!

Everything changes at night, more lights, people and cooler temps!

At the Mirage they have a volcano go off every night at a specific time.  It lasts just a few minutes, and it's free.

We loved walking around Hershey's Chocolate World.  These Reese's candles smelled so dreamy!

The Mix It Up Kisses wall was pretty great too!

We had high hopes for Hershey's but in the end M&M World was way better! So much more unique things to see and you can watch a free short movie, with AC it's amazing! Even their wall of M&M's is bigger and better!

Our favorite thing we did on this trip was at The Coca Cola Store, specifically trying the Tastes of the World!  We also got the floats for just a little bit more, but it was worth it!  This would be so fun to do as a family or a group!

The floats were our favorite of all! So delicious!

The different sodas were so fun to try.

Here's what we tried...

Pretty sure Smart Watermelon from China was my favorite of the sodas.

And pretty sure our least favorite was Beverly from Italy.  :/

We had dinner at Holsteins Shakes and Buns, it was great.  Our favorite dish was actually an appetizer, lobster truffle macaroni and cheese. We felt so fancy and refined!

While researching fun and free things to do in Vegas so many popped up at The Bellagio!

Most people know about their fountains, and those are a must see but I had no idea about their Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, practically in their lobby.  They were amazing.

While at the gardens take a little walk down the hall and see the world's largest chocolate fountain at Jean Philippe Patisserie.

This was a splurge for sure but on our way back to the hotel one night we grabbed some frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity 3.  It was so creamy and cold, and perfect for a summer night!

On our way out of town we grabbed some super cheap donuts just off the strip at Ronald's Donuts.  Our favorite were the donut holes!

We also made a quick stop at the Gold & Silver Pawn shop, known for their show Pawn Stars.  It was nice to see but for us it kind of a waste of time really.

We drove a little ways out of town to go to the Hoover Dam.  We took a tour (the only one that was available at that time) and loved all the interesting info!  We were true tourists!  If you're interested in going make sure to check their website for times of specific tours so you'll catch the one you want.

Even though we were only there for a few short days, we had so much fun.  For our first real vacation together I think it was a success!  Now on to the next adventure!

Youth Sunday School Lesson: Covenants

How can I deepen my understanding of covenants?

"Just as aircraft pilots must obey certain rules to avoid disaster, there are laws, ordinances, and covenants we must understand and keep as we go through earthly life if we are to reach our goal of eternal life." -Elder Robert D. Hales

If you know me, you KNOW I almost have to have a kind of "theme" for my lesson.  That's just how my brain works and helps me understand and connect with the lesson.  So along with that theme I always need a handout.  I went with the "theme" of airplanes and did candy airplanes.  I'll talk through them down below, so easy and cute!

On to the lesson-Covenants are so important and help us so much in our lives.  I wanted to make sure that the youth knew that and understood what was ahead for them if they made and kept covenants.

We have an incredible young man in our ward that is investigating the church and I wanted to make sure to put it in terms that all could understand and remember.

This month we've been learning about ordinances and covenants. Here's a little run down of what I have planned for this lesson.

-Share story from "Return with Honor" about Emergency Procedures.

-Have a discussion about what a covenant is.  Read Covenant in True to the Faith.

-Read specific scriptures and find the promises we make and the promises God makes in connection with these covenants.  Write them on the board in two columns.  We're planning to read these- Mosiah 18: 8-10, D&C 20: 77, Abraham 2: 8-11.

-Watch the Spiritual Vertigo Video

-Talk about why we make covenants and the importance of making and keeping them.

-I referred back to this article a lot, "Return with Honor" by Elder Robert D. Hales.

Hopefully the youth will come to realize that covenant keeping strengthens, prepares, empowers and protects us.

So as they are 'flying' through life, it might not always be easy there will always be temptations and challenges, but if we are covenant keepers we will stay on the right path always!

As I mentioned before I'm giving candy airplanes with a little cloud cut out with a quote on it.
The candy airplanes are SO simple.

Here's what you need:

-Wintergreen mints

-sticks of gum

-Smartie's

-rubberbands

-gum wrappers (optional link below)

-tape if using a gum wrapper

Thread the mints with the rubber band.  Place Smartie in between both mints.  Place stick of gum on top and wrap rubber bands around to hold on to the gum "wings".  Trust me it's so easy and you'll get the hang of it.  I wrapped my gum with cute little Covenant Keeper wrappers before too.

-Side note- Wouldn't these planes be the cutest thing for a little boys birthday party, baby shower, or anything plane theme!?  So cute and easy to whip together!

Here's a printable with both colored and not colored images, you can find the link for the Covenant Keeper gum wrapper and cloud quote HERE.  There is a black and white version and a colored version so you can choose what works for you!

June 2016 Highlights

We started this month with celebrating this cute girl!  She graduated from high school and with flying colors!  Bethany is the sweetest girl!

National Donut Day is a pretty big day around here.  Dallin and I LOVE donuts.  One of our first "dates" was 2 years ago on good old Donut Day when he took me all the way to Provo just so I could get a free donut at Krispy Kreme.  Donuts were part of Dallin's proposal and we served the fanciest donuts at our wedding reception.  We just love donuts that much!

So we celebrated with making our own.  It was so much fun and we loved being creative with toppings!

We are still searching for the best recipe so these were just a test run and didn't turn out as great as we'd hoped but oh well!

It was perfect time to pull out my donut plates my mom got me from Walmart.

We also went to Gygi's Grilling Gala!  What a fun day full of food, classes and giveaways!

We picked some cherries at Brandon and Courtney's house.  Emma loved it!

Dallin and I went to Vegas for a little vacation and it was so fun!  We got basically free tickets from my work to Mystere and we couldn't pass it up.  More on that trip to come!

While we were down there we stopped at the Hoover Dam.

We celebrated this sweet lady's birthday!  My grandma Ruth is one of my favorite people.  Isn't she just the cutest! I'm so glad I was named after such an incredible lady!

We went to the Chalk Art Festival at Gateway and it was so cool to see all the amazing art!  People are so talented!

Here are some of our favorites in progress...

After we stopped at our all time FAVORITE gelato place.  I love the nutella, coconut combo!

I made some triple chocolate cookies for Aaron's Birthday party. I'll post the easy and delicious recipe soon!

We celebrated Aaron's Birthday at their cute house and I won the candy guessing game!! Seriously this is something to document.  I never win!

We are loving my Mom's beautiful roses in her front yard.  My Grandpa helped plant them years ago, we love to think about him when they bloom.

We celebrated these cool dudes!  Father's Day is a nice reminder of all the Father figures in our life no matter if they have kids or not.

I taught our Youth Sunday School class about Priesthood Power!  For reals I am loving this calling.  You can find the free printables for the bingo and activity HERE!

We went on a "hike" with Brittany's cute family.

Emma and Adam just crack me up.  They know how to hike!

I made some No Bake Cookies for our Sunday School class.  I'll post my fail proof recipe soon!

How is it already July!?  Summer is going by so fast.
