December Love Note-He is the GIFT

I wanted to round out the year with sharing one last monthly Love Note.  I'm not sure what next year has in store for this little old blog.  I have lots of ideas with recipes, parties, kid activities and so on...so let's see how they all turn out.  Instead of monthly I might do Seasonal/Quarterly Love Notes.  We'll see!  They just take a really long time to create and post.  If you use my Love Notes let me know and I'll be more motivated to keep going!

This month I'm sharing an oldie but a goodie!  I made these for my Singles Ward Relief Society when I was in the RS Presidency for Christmas gifts for each of the women.  It was simple but reminded them of the true meaning of Christmas which I love!

I got some Peppermint Joe Joe's at Trader Joe's and dipped them in milk or white chocolate, then topped them with different toppings, crushed peppermint, drizzled chocolate, etc. BE WARE of the Gluten Free Peppermint Joe Joe's!  We accidentally got a box a year ago and they are nasty! If you're not near a TJ"s obviously use Oreo's!  I used THESE bags to package each individual cookie.  then just tape the top down in the back.  I separated the picture from the cookies so if people had aversions or allergies they could choose to take one or not.

Along with one dipped cookie I gave them a small 3X4 picture of Christ, I found a set from Seagull Book, I found some online HERE, or I've been able to find them in store near the pictures.  Just get a small variety pack and it will make it super easyI probably got 2 packs of pictures for under $5, which covered the main cost of the whole gift.  Then wrapped it with a small ribbon to look like a gift.  They could put the picture anywhere from their journal, car, room, fridge, the list could go on and on.

You can find the "He is the GIFT!" tag-HERE!

Berry-July Love Notes

I'm actually kind of enjoying this end of the month Love Note business.  Not that it's ideal to give out that month obviously but you have a fresh Love Note for all your needs the following month.  Instead of being days or even weeks late I'm actually a day ahead of the month. haha  Maybe one day I'll get back to posting them at the starting of each month but not today.

This Love Note is perfect for all those beautiful berries we're finishing up this summer!  Obviously you can focus on strawberries like I did but there are so many cute berry things that would be so great with this tag.

Obviously I think berries and cream! Yum!  Whip up a batch of fresh whipped cream, put it in a cute little ramekin and give a small carton of strawberries with it and they have dessert for the whole family. Pretty healthy and delicious!

Or if you're feeling like baking make a little pound cake loaf.  All you need are these small loaf pans, regular baking ingredients and lemon extract!  I'll be sharing the recipe soon!  It's from my sweet Grandma and it's so delicious!

Wrap some fresh whipped cream, washed and sliced strawberries and a mini loaf of pound cake up and give it to a new neighbor, someone you love or someone you've been thinking about!

Liv even got in on the Love Notes and gave a few plates away to some people that needed to know how BERRY much she loves them! :)

Other strawberry options could be:  Strawberry Sour Patch candies, this cute little Strawberry container, strawberry dish towels (you can never have enough towels!), or a cute strawberry sign.  Or any strawberry flavored drink, chocolate, candy or food item. Think chocolate covered strawberries, oh my word that would be amazing!!

Can't wait to share this Pound Cake Recipe!

You've been EGGED! April Love Notes

I had a lot of different posts in the works for this year, but with how the world is right now it just doesn't seem fitting.  Something that does seem fitting though is to share love!!  I know we are all trying to stay clean and healthy so these little leave-on-the-doorstep, pre-packaged treats are a great option for this time.

I totally love the idea of "egging" peoples houses and leaving a mini Easter egg hunt for them to find. All you need are some extra plastic Easter eggs, candy and this cute printable.

The wonderful thing about this is that you probably already have some kind of "egg" thing that you can share or give just a few away.

Or help them get a little head start on their Easter traditions and give them a little egg dye kit.

These foil wrapped chocolate eggs are SO good and of course we can't forget about the Dove Eggs!!  But you could do any egg themed treat!  There are so many in the grocery store this time of year.

Or give them actual eggs!! A week ago I was so stressed I wouldn't have eggs for some cake order this week.  I placed a pick up order at smiths and requested double the amount I needed just to be safe.  I got them alllll!! hahaha Needless to say I'm not worried about eggs anymore! Share the love!

Reese's peanut butter eggs are a super solid choice!

Or of course Cadbury chocolate eggs, another classic!

Notice I used all Target links because you can place a pick up order for the same day at your nearest Target!  It's free, easy to get, and you can stay safe and in your car.

May Flower Love Notes

April showers always tend to bring beautiful May flowers!  I wanted to capture that in the floral Love Notes of this month!  There are so many amazing flower/floral things you could give with a little Love Note/gift tag or just give that Love Note!  That's perfectly fine too.  If you love giving a little something as much as I do for ministering sisters, teacher gifts, kids/youth/adults in your church classes, etc. I've got loads of ideas for you.

Let’s start with this little Plant dreams, pull weeds and grow a happy life-tag. This tag can mean so many things. I got the little flower containers at Oriental Trading HERE. I found the pink watering can at the Target Dollar Spot similar online option HERE. The fake flowers I found at Dollar Tree, online option HERE.

I love the idea of giving something they can plant and grow themselves. Some seeds and a little planter/container can help them get started.

Next tag is a little reminder that sometimes life can be hard but it’s a reminder that we’re growing into something beautiful. Everyone has challenges and rough times, but they help us grow.

How cute are these little containers and watering cans, I found them at Hobby Lobby! So fun for gifts, party favors and even decorations.

Next tag is all about positive thinking and feeling! It’s a cute and clever way to tell people to look on the bright side.  Have you ever made cookie flowers?  They are super simple and totally adorable!  You will need:  skewer sticks, flower cookies, gumdrops, flower pot/vase, chocolate rocks.  Take your skewer stick and cut to the length you'd like your flower.  Put a gum drop, top down, on top and slide it down a little.  Place the flower cookie and then another gumdrop on top.  Super simple!  Put in a little vase or pot and fill with chocolate rocks for a cute and edible surprise!

This next tag is perfect for teachers, parents or anyone that have helped you GROW!

I love that any of these can be used with any of the above ideas.  Or a potted plant real or fake, or a bouquet of flowers would be so fun to receive!  I love to get fresh flowers for a pretty good deal at Trader Joe's!

May 2018 Ministering/Visiting Teaching General Conference Handout Love Note Idea

The monthly handout after General Conference always has to be a reminder to reread, watch or listen to the great messages that were previously shared.  It just doesn't feel right to be anything other.  Even though this was a printable I shared in preparation for General Conference it also makes a great follow up handout too!

I love to have a hard copy of the Ensign to mark up with personal notes and highlights of things that stick out to me, so giving it as a gift just helps spreads the love.

You could even give a bag of chocolate chips or
one of your favorite chocolate chip cookies with this too!

Or pair it with a cute notebook so they can still keep notes, they can even keep this as a journal for Sunday or other General Conferences ahead.

Pair it with a pen, highlighter and the Ensign and you have a perfect General Conference Kit-great for before or after General Conference!

For the free printables head to THIS post.  All of the ideas from that post could work for this month as well.  I just love the idea of remembering what we've learned from General Conference.

Just Dropping By Ministering/Visiting Teaching April 2018

I know I'm incredibly late posting these, but they are just too cute to not share.  I'll be honest when I heard there would be no more visiting teaching I got a little sad.  I look forward to making and sharing these with you and (when I have my act together) sharing them with the sweet women I get to visit teach.

So I'm going to keep sharing ideas each month, and probably a few extra knowing me and my brain. I'll try to include a mix of religious/LDS themes and quotes and a few general so you can give them to anyone no matter if it's someone in your family (siblings, husband, child, parents, grandparents) or friends (neighbors, ward members, people with shared callings, etc.)!

When I think of April I obviously think of April Showers!
This little note is perfect for those little "drop" bys.

I think it would be so cute to give your favorite body wash and a luffa for something little for their shower.  You can find these in the travel section at Walmart or Target for only a dollar or two.

The great thing about this idea is that it can be paired with lots of different inexpensive items.

Like a little bag of lemon drops or other yellow candy.
THESE old fashioned lemon drops are SO good!

Or a super cute umbrella!  Super useful and only $3 at Walmart.
You can find an online option with awesome reviews HERE.

Check back later this week, I'll be sharing even more "April Shower" ideas!
Who do you think could us a little drop by?!

Conference Cookie

I am so excited for Conference this weekend!  If you are not LDS you can find more about it HERE.  There are so many inspiring and heartfelt messages about faith, hope and so much more.  It really is such an uplifting weekend for all that are willing to listen.

To help celebrate this conference weekend and to remind others just how important it is I wanted to -of course- make a handout.  And as always I can't just stop at one I had to make a few.

The greatest thing about all of these printables is
they have to do with chocolate and chocolate chip cookies!
Some of my favorite things!

You can choose any tag or a combination of two with any of the ideas below.

And just maybe you will start a new conference tradition for not only your family but for the people that you give it to.  This would be an awesome reminder for young women, visiting teachers, people you visit teach, relief society, home teachers, friends...the list could go on and on!

Milk and cookies just go together right!?  How fun would it be to get some of these adorable milk containers and pair it with a dozen homemade chocolate chip cookies!?

Or a some cookies in a bag with a few extra chocolate chips too.

You could even just give your favorite chocolate chips and your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe for them to make together as a family during conference.  I seriously love the Guittard milk chocolate chips, they are insanely delicious and can totally be eaten by the handful, find them at your grocery store or online HERE.  If you don't have a favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe a Cookie Cookbook would be SO fun to give!  I love THIS 101 Gourmet Cookies book, so many amazing recipes-the Pudding Cookies are our favorite!

This is a perfect mix of ingredients to make it so they can build their own traditions and enjoy conference as a family and with some chocolate! :)

Make it super simple and mix up a batch of chocolate chip cookie dough and give it to them in a plastic container.  All they have to do is bake and enjoy!
Everyone loves warm cookies right out of the oven.

Just make sure to add the specific baking temperature and time so they know.  I also love to freeze cookie dough balls in gallon sized bags, a bag of those would be so great to pair with one of these tags.  They are delicious to eat alone or baked and you can choose how many you want, you don't have to bake the whole batch at one time.

An even easier idea is to grab some cookies at the grocery store or your favorite bakery!  These mini Chips Ahoy! will make the perfect snack.

I think my favorite idea would have to be this last one!  I LOVE my cookie scoops.  If you don't have one they are a total game changer.  My favorites can be found HERE and for a smaller size HERE, seriously I almost have one of each size.

Pair one of these awesome cookie scoops, a new cookie sheet, and your favorite chocolate chips and they are on their way to having amazing cookies in no time!

No matter what you do OR don't do I hope you just enjoy General Conference!!
