Olivia's Donut Shoppe Cake Smash

Donuts are just so cute!  Add them with cake and a sweet little baby and they get even more adorable!  While we were taking Olivia's Donut Shoppe pictures I wanted to have a smash cake for her and make it myself.  I had high hopes of making it closer to her birthday in December, but I was a little busy...so I made it in March and we took pictures the same day and it turned out JUST FINE!  If you'd like to see the time lapse of me assembling and decorating this cake you can go to my YouTube channel HERE!  She was so cute when she saw the cake, she took off each donut and took a bite out of each of them then placed each one back on the cake, she never even took a bite out of the cake! haha So I made a whole cake for her just to eat a few bites of store bought donuts.  Sounds about right. haha!

Olivia's Donut Shoppe Pictures

For Olivia's first birthday we had the theme of Olivia's Donut Shoppe!  I had Dallin make this adorable stand for decoration and for a gift for Livy, that she could use for years to come.  If you want to see more of her Donut Smash you can go HERE.  It's so sweet and sad how fast she's grown since those pictures.  We took these pictures a couple of weeks ago and I love these just the same.  I'll link where we got everything below if you're interested.  And meanwhile pass the donuts! :)

The photo shoot couldn't be complete with out a tantrum about bows.  Olivia hates her bows and really prefers not to wear them as you can see.  haha!
Eventually she got distracted and didn't mind the bow.

I love that after when we were cleaning up she still wanted to play with the donuts!  Even to this day she plays with the donuts and stand pretty regularly!  Mom/party planning win right there! :)

I have to break all these pictures up in two posts because I took so many! haha Sorry, not sorry!  These pictures are priceless.
Check back soon for the Donut Shoppe Cake Smash she did the same day!

Olivia's Donut Smash

I have lots and lots of things I want to share and it seems like no time or energy to do it.  So I hope you all enjoy me playing "catch up"!  For Olivia's first birthday party we did the theme of Olivia's Donut Shoppe.  It was incredibly adorable!! I'm already planning her next birthday because it was so fun to plan.  She turns two in December! Not even sure how that happened!!! I've wanted to share her adorable Donut Smash pictures with you all for quite some time.  We took these a couple of weeks before she turned one.  She still is my precious, sweet baby in my eyes but I love how these pictures capture her baby-ness!  Those adorable round cheeks, chubby legs, and preferring to crawl.  She already has changed so much!

I'll list below where I got everything!  It was seriously so fun and easy to plan once I knew the direction I was going.  I loved that I didn't have to worry about a cake just then, I could send Dallin to grab some donuts at the local grocery store and be ready.

I love how she smiled right when she saw the donuts!!

But didn't want to even touch them just play with the cake stand. Haha!

Even after all our persuading she wanted nothing of it!
She just wanted to slide around the glass cake stand!

Sometimes she would smell the donuts, but never take an actual bite.  She has amazing self control!

So dad started eating the donuts.

I can't even get over her adorable face in these two pictures.  We love her so, so much!

Plot twist! At the very end while we were ready to pack everything up and changed her out of her birthday dress she decided she loved the idea of pictures and donuts!

She even took a great big bite of dads donut!

I just love our sweet, curious little baby (now toddler)!

Here's where I got the specific items.  If I don't share the direct link it's because I bought it in store or can't find the link.
