Living a Consecrated Life
I am so excited about the handout for this months visiting teaching message! I personally think it's the cutest one to date if I do say so myself. I love that this message is all about consecrating your time, choices and lives to God's purposes.
To consecrate is to set apart or dedicate something as sacred, devoted to holy purposes.

When I found this quote from President Uchtdorf on Pinterest I knew I had to use it some how- "Even the smallest act of discipleship or the tiniest ember of belief can become a blazing bonfire of a consecrated life." I love it! And when I think of bonfires my mind automatically goes to s'mores-the best way to close out summer. So I knew I had to tie that in some how.
This handout has SO many options and little gift ideas. Start with classic s'more makings and if you want to branch out with twists on the classics-even better!
I started with the classics, good old Jet-Puffed Marshmallows and Hershey's chocolate bars. I also found these Honey Maid graham cracker squares that are perfectly portioned for s'mores!
From there I got a little more creative! I also picked up a Cadbury Dairy Milk bar and Jet-Puffed Toasted Coconut Mallow Bites. I even found these super tasty and cute Smash Mallows in the flavors Cinnamon Churro and Toasted Coconut Pineapple, but there are loads more of other dreamy flavors. But really the sky is the limit.
Any fancy or delicious marshmallows and chocolate would work perfectly!
Print off one of these tags or calendars, found below, and you are almost set to go visiting teaching!
I love that this could be paired with any summer or camping magnet if you are not doing the IKEA frames from earlier this year. Just one more month to soak in all things summer!
Now here is the really fun part where you can come up with your own combination of s'more makings! Give them all 3 ingredients or just a few-or even just one!
I love the idea of pairing a unique flavored marshmallow with fancy chocolate and of course they don't actually have to make s'more they can always snack on these marshmallows and chocolate bars!
I found these super cute fleece throws for only $2.50 at Walmart!
How cute and useful would it be to pair one of these with some s'more makings!
Or bag just a few of the ingredients to cut the cost!
I found THESE adorable clear favor boxes that are perfect for individualized s'more makings. I love that you can see through the box too!
Some other ideas I thought of that would be super adorable to pair with this tag: campfire sticks, lighter, homemade s'more bars, s'more cookies, s'more mix, s'more Pop-tarts! The list could go on and on!
No matter what you choose to give just remind your sisters that by applying S'MORE gospel principles in their lives, they can live a more consecrated life!
