January-April Highlights

I've been slacking on my monthly highlights so I thought I'd do a little catch up.  Life is too fun to not be documented and remembered.

January

In January I made my first visiting teaching handout and calendar.  It has been so fun, and honestly frustrating sometimes, to come up with these every month. My family and I had a little happy dance over the fact that cute Sheena from Little LDS Ideas shared it on her Facebook page.  Her blog is jam packed with adorable and super useful ideas for any calling you might have!

Dallin and I have been on a mission to find the best chocolate chip cookie and I think we might be getting pretty close!

More Peanut Butter Balls are always in the works.  You can find the recipe HERE!

January I also started our new Instagram account for all our "Strong Finds"!  You can find it HERE if you're interested.  We share all our favorite eats, treats, and places we love to go!

February

February started with all new visiting teaching handouts and they were pretty adorable!

Dallin made bread from scratch for the first time!  It was great!  I love how he's always up to try new things, and pose for my pictures! :)

We had a movie night with all the fun treats we could think of and watched Trolls!  I couldn't believe how good it actually was, I really enjoyed it!  These cupcakes looked great for about 5 minutes then they all looked like the cupcake on the top left. Droopy hair but still delicious!

These kids are seriously the cutest!  I loved how they were singing and quoting the movie the whole time.

For our special Valentine's Day meal we went to Tiburon in Sandy, it was so fancy and so delicious! Try the crab cakes they were divine!

We also tried our hand at homemade pizzas!  We are loving those delicious yellow peppers so we make sure to throw loads on there every time!

March

March brought some more new visiting teaching handouts and some other cute things to this little blog!

We celebrated Dallin's birthday with the day off, Pirate O's treats in the park and dinner at La Caille.

And some escargot!

We loved the special touches they had and their birthday treat for Dallin!

Their grounds are breathtaking!  If you haven't been-GO!

We made some donuts for a blog post I had in the works and for some special visitors we had for the day!

We loved having Robyn, Andrew and Mindy see our new home. And playing their fun game that had us all laughing till our heads hurt!

This was the post I had in the works!  It turned out pretty adorable, if I do say so myself.

We've gotten pretty good at crème brulee.

We tried our hand at some meringue tarts, that turned out totally delicious!

And some new slider recipes Dallin found!  The top crust on this one is SO good!

April

With April came General Conference which we totally loved.  Luckily my parents bought some Waffle Love dough balls so we could enjoy them at home!

I made some Peanut Butter Blossoms, these things are addicting and so easy!  I'm hoping to share the recipe soon.

Dallin and I had a fun date night of Gourmandise for dinner and checking out the cherry blossoms up at the capitol.

Dallin always the adorable model!

And even more visiting teaching ideas!

We finally found time to go to Lucky 13 with my little brother.  That boy is busy I tell you, we've been trying to find a date that works for almost a year and a half.  Their celestial burger and fries are what dreams are made of people!

I also made some Coconut Nutella cupcakes for our new Sunday School class we get to teach!

And made one of my favorite handouts/personal progress motivators to date!  Can't get much cuter then this bunny garland!

We celebrated Easter by heading to church and finding our baskets in the afternoon.  Dallin got me good by hiding mine in the little compartment under the stove, it honestly took me hours to find.

Before Dallin headed out on a work trip we went to a Fine Chocolate Tasting Class at Caputo's.  It was so fun, but a tad bit long.

That same week, Dallin got home from his short work trip and we went to Heber Valley Railroad to ride their Chocolate Lovers train!  We had so much fun, just wish there was more chocolate!

These pictures don't do the views justice!  It was beautiful up there!

We ended April by chopping down our almost orchard like trees in our backyard which was quite the ordeal and some great lessons in our Sunday School Class.  You can find the Easter lesson HERE!

And another favorite handout with an adorable fishing pole for the Truth and Error lesson you can find HERE!

We've had a fun year so far and are looking forward to the even better Summer months ahead!
