I Like to Look for Rainbows

I have always loved the Children's Primary Song "When I am Baptized."  It is such a beautiful song for baptism days and days when you want to reflect on or consider getting baptized.  I highly suggest listening to the full song if you haven't already.

In the spirit of all things St. Patrick's Day, rainbows kept coming to my mind.  And I love the line in this song that says "I like to look for rainbows whenever there is rain."  It seemed like a perfect handout idea!

Even if someone doesn't know this song they can still relate to the positive message.  If they do know the song it would be a great tag to include in a gift for baptism or a lesson handout on baptism.  It would even be cute to attach this to a bag full of rainbow treats or candy.

Or pair it with one of those rainbow candies and you are set.  I chose Skittles this time around, but there are loads of other colorful options.  You could even give the mini bags of Skittles if you are giving them out in bulk, and the tag would fit perfectly over it.

I am so lucky to know you!

I love finding a reason to give a little treat to someone and holidays are one of the best excuses.  So many cute colors, themes and puns to be made!

I already really love the last printable I shared this month 'You're worth more than gold!' (find it HERE), but you've got to have a lucky one too!

This tag would be great attached to a box of Lucky Charms, big or little.

Or even a banner that has the word Luck or Lucky on it, like this one I snagged at the Dollar Spot at Target.

OR even a St. Patrick's day decoration!  My family LOVES decorations so this one would definitely be a winner in our books.

I love this adorable 'So Lucky' wood block my Mom made!

It could even be paired with gold or rainbow candy, or a plate of homemade goodies!  The possibilities are endless!

If you'd like the free 'I am so luck to know you!' printable you can find it HERE!

You're worth more than gold!

This might sound super strange, but I love the month of March.  I love St. Patrick's day, Dallin's Birthday is this month, and I just love the Disney Channel classic movie Luck of the Irish!  (Please tell me I'm not the only one!?)  And of course there's another holiday to celebrate so what's not to love!

Something that has been on my mind lately is worth.  We all live our lives based on what we think is worthwhile.  We compare ourselves to others because maybe we think they have more worth then we do.  But really we all are worth SO much!  I love the scripture in D&C 19:10, "Remember the worth of souls is great in the sight of God."  I love that we all need a little reminder that we are worth so much and especially to our loving Heavenly Father.

So in my mind this handout just fell into place.  There are two different tags incase you want to give it to anyone or your young women.

For the young women tag I thought it would be a great reminder to the girls to work on their Personal Progress, specifically Individual Worth.

For the other more generic printable you could give this to anyone!  Anyone that needs to realize just how much they are worth or needs a little chocolate.  It's perfect for any age or class at church or school.

For either tag it can be paired with a bag of gold candies, chocolate gold coins or even a little piece of (FAKE) gold jewelry!  In case you are stumped on finding gold candies the Warner girls have thought of a few:  Twix, Treasures, Almond Kisses, Werther's Caramel soft or hard, Ferrero Rocher, Rolos, Ghridelli Caramel Squares, Reese's, Lindt Caramel rounds and I'm sure there are more!

If you didn't want to give a bag or pot of candy you could even just pair it with a single bar or piece of candy incase you are giving this to a lot of people or have a lot of young women in your ward.

If you'd like the free printable for these adorable pots of gold tags you can find them both HERE!

And remember just how much you are worth! :)

Deep Fry Night!

Last Friday night we hosted our first house party with my side of the family.  Dallin has had this vision of a deep fry party so we did just that!  We fried everything and anything and it was so much fun!

This is great party idea for people that want a chill night to relax and mingle!

Grab it!  Grab whatever you want to try deep fried!  Of course you can eat things not fried too but you'd be surprised how much it changes once fried.  We also served corn dogs for dinner so no one would be super hungry after.

Some of the things we thought of:  bananas, strawberries, pineapple, cheesecake, cookie dough, Nutella, Oreos, cauliflower, peppers, carrots, mushrooms, cheese, Reese's, Twinkies, brownies, onions, pickles, and apples.

Fry It!  After they grabbed what they wanted in those cute red containers Dallin would fry them all up!

Dip It!  After everything is fried they could choose from the different dips and sauces to add to their fried goodies!  We had both sweet and savory things so I had an option for both.  I also whipped up a copycat sauce they make at Texas Roadhouse.

Enjoy it!  Now all that's left is to enjoy it!

Seriously this turned out SO much better than I thought!  Everything was pretty good!  The crowd favorites included:  cheese, Nutella, onions, pineapple, mushrooms, and cookie dough.

For a little favor I gave a package of Twizzler nibs to each family to go along with the red/white theme.

Our first house party was a success!  What party should we throw next!?

If you'd like to throw your own FRY night you can print out all the cute IKEA inserts and favor tags right HERE!

March Visiting Teaching Handout

This months Visiting teaching message is about The Enabling Power of Jesus Christ and His Atonement.  I love that this message focuses on how much Christ has done for us and continues to do for us.  He really is always there to help and comfort each of us.

I love the scripture in Philippians 4:13 "I can do ALL things through Christ which strengtheneth me."  It's so easy to think that you are on this journey alone and sometimes it just gets plain hard.  But we have SO much help, we really can do ALL things through Christ.

So for this month we have the cute little calendar prints to slide in your cheap IKEA frames or pair it with a holiday magnet to add to their collection.

I thought it would be so cute to add this tag to a journal with Christ on the cover, and encourage the sisters you visit teach to fill it with how Christ has strengthened or helped them each day.  When they write it down they will be able to remember it and look back on it.  Their testimony of Christ's life, love and Atonement will grow!

Or attach the message to a framed picture or even just a print of Christ.  I absolutely love these two prints!  The sketched looking one is "Lo, I Am With You Always" by Traci Douglass and the other with the children is "Be Not Afraid" by Greg Olsen.  Both perfect messages to go along with this topic.

How cute would it be to pair this tag with a small 3" Christus.  I've had mine for years but you can find them for $5 at Seagull Book!

Perfect to place on their desk, nightstand, or really anywhere!

If you'd like the printout for these adorable March Calendars or tags you can find them right HERE!

Holiday Party Ideas

I know the holiday season has come and gone but I can't NOT post about my Mom's parties.

Let's jump back to Thanksgiving!  We were at my parents house this year and my Mom decked the tables with all things turkey!

She even made the cutest turkeys out of Tootsie Roll containers.

One of the things I love most is the little treat she puts at each persons plate.  For Thanksgiving she gave a basket or cornucopia full of a mix of M&M's candy corn and more little treats!

For Christmas and Christmas Eve she gave everyone a little basket full of chocolate Kisses that had Christmas paper on the bottom, with each persons name attached!

We all chipped in and brought a few different appetizers for Christmas.  I brought two dips to try out from my Influenster box.  We LOVED this French's Jalapeno Popper Dip!

And we had to have a more spicy option too and Frank's Red Hot Classic dip was perfect for that!

Emma and Dallin won the candy guessing game this time around.  Notice Emma's cute face and Dallin's not so cute Christmas sweater.  Ha!

My Mom put candy in some large ornaments and it was a great festive container!

My Mom gave each couple a basket full of fruit!  Loved this idea!

For New Year's Eve we also brought a dish to share with the rest of the family.  Dallin and I decided on a cheese tray!  We love Port Salut cheese!  It's a soft French cheese that is great with anything really!  The crowd pleaser was definitely the Brie though.

We loved the baguette slices and fruit along with the cheeses this time around!

My mom made these super addictive cucumber slice bites!

Bethany made a sausage dip that is just as addicting and delicious!

And Brittany brought ice cream sundae makings to ring in the New Year!

Parties with my family are such a treat!
